Answers

Question: I still have a balance with my local phone company. Can I open an account with Communitel?
Answer: Yes. You will still owe your current service provider the outstanding amount of your bill, but this will not inhibit you from signing on with Communitel

Question: I don't live in a major city. Can I still get phone service with you?
Answer: Yes. Currently, we provide service in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan, but will be expanding to all of Canada shortly.

Question:
Can I switch from my current reconnection company to Communitel?
Answer: Yes. Its quick and easy, give us a call for more details.

Question:
Can I keep my old number?
Answer: No. Telephone numbers issued by Communitel are new numbers.

Question:
I am moving soon. Can I keep the telephone number Communitel gave me?
Answer: You can keep the same number that Communitel provided you with as long as it fits in with the numbers in the area that you are moving to.

Question:

Question: What happens if I miss a payment?
Answer: We will contact you to find out why the payment was missed. If we feel that payment is not forthcoming, we will cancel your service within 48hrs of our check up phone call to you.

Question:
When are the payments due?
Answer: Payments are due before the next month of service. As an example, service for August 2003 would be due in July 2003. We will send you an invoice each month, roughly 10 - 14 days before your due date. But remember we are a pre-paid service. Your payment is still due on your normal due date even if the invoice arrives late.

Question:
Do you offer long distance plans?
Answer: Absolutely. We have one of the lowest rates in North America. To see our long distance rates click here.

Question:
How long does it take to get hooked up?
Answer: It will take about 7 to 14 business days to process your order. It may be done sooner or it can possibly take longer depending on where you want your telephone service to be placed. We submit your order immediately upon receiving your payment and strive to have you connected as soon as humanly possible. If there is a delay, the delay is with the provincial carrier, not Communitel.

Question: Can I change my due date to something more convenient?
Answer: Yes, to change your due date, we charge $3/day for every day you move your payment forward.

Question:
Do I get a discount on service for my business referral?
Answer:  Yes, please call us today to find out more information on friend referrals.

Question: If you do disconnect me, can I be hooked up again?
Answer: Yes you can. You are not guaranteed the same number and there will be a reconnection fee that will need to be paid with your monthly bill before you can be reconnected.
